It's official, I've converted to a .com! This photo pretty much sums up how I feel about the whole thing. In the blogging universe, it can be bit of a big step but thankfully I haven't had any issues so far (touch wood). You can also now reach me on additional email, nicole@confidentliar.com. But hey, whatever floats your boat. In other news, a rather exciting parcel arrived (very) early this morning so stay tuned!

GOING GLOBAL

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Taken by Nicole Cooper.
Australian label MINKPINK recently held a cute tea party to celebrate the launch their new global campaign (I'll take any excuse to have a glass of champagne in the middle of the day). The room was filled with Aussie bloggers, all happily munching away on sugary treats while still managing to juggle their cameras, drinks and phones in the other hand. Clearly, we're a talented bunch when it comes to multi-tasking. The new international campaign goes live today with a rad little film that you can check out here! Thanks again to Bel and the rest of the team for having us along and spoiling us all like cray-cray. Yeah, I just said that. And I know you secretly love it.

CURRENTLY COVETING: THREE

Photobucket
Ksubi La Femme jeans, Petite Grand bracelet, Lipstik Berlin boots, Stonefox Magazine (Issue One), Sass and Bide bra, Ellery Billy Idol top, Le Specs Runaway sunglasses
Considering that Sydney (and most of the east coast of Australia) has been suffering from some seriously temperamental weather, my wardrobe has kind of gone into meltdown. I know what you're thinking, #FASHIONGIRLPROBLEMS. As much as I don't want to let go of summer (well, what resembled a summer), I've been slowly bringing out winter pieces to accommodate for those cold and rainy days. Think leather boots, comfortable jeans and light trench coats. In saying that though, yesterday I thought it'd be a great to wear open sandals in the pouring rain. Smooth move Nicole, smooth move. Oh and Happy Australia Day everyone! Yes, even those of you that are overseas. Go on and eat a spoonful of vegemite to celebrate.

ELEMENTAL

Lilya's new Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign video was just too good not to share on this rainy afternoon. Styled by Mandy of Oracle Fox and shot by Nat Lanyon, it's the perfect little pick-me-up as I sit here with a large cup of tea and (literally) a thousand images ready to edit. Ok, back to work. But only after I play this video one more time. And then maybe another.

BEKKET

Taken by Nicole Cooper.
These Isabel Marant Bekket High-Top Sneakers belong to Laura, the Studio Manager at Sara Phillips. I distinctly remember when she ordered them off Net-A-Porter quite a few months ago because it was the first time I laid eyes on them. Fast forward a few months and these babies are available in more colourways than you can count and appear to be sold out nearly everywhere. I probably couldn't pull them off myself but with Laura's ridiculously amazing style, they're just perfect.

AJE

Taken on a Nikon D90.
One of the most beautiful skirts I've ever seen by yet another amazing Australian label, Aje. This stunning piece also helps prove my theory that Sara from Harper and Harley has one of the most drool-worthy wardrobes. If you don't believe me, you can see for yourself both here and here

FAVOURITES

One of my favourite people wearing a pair of sunglasses from one of my favourite labels - the ever so stunning Jessica from Tuula decked out in Ellery. Those gorgeous sunnies (and that dress) are available from Desordre, a store so perfect that I almost wish I'd never ventured into it. If you live in Sydney then you need to do yourself a favour and check it out. Just make sure you have a credit card or a sugar daddy with you.

HARPER'S BAZAAR

Seeing your images turn up on another site is exciting enough, but viewing them on Harper's Bazaar is another thing entirely. I tried to play it cool and act like it was no biggie but on the inside I was giggling like a little school girl when photos I took of Sara from Harper and Harley, made their way onto the Harper's Bazaar Style Network. I don't think I'll ever get sick of that feeling and to be honest, I hope I never do!

MINT

Jess from Tuula in the most amazing mint Dion Lee top (available at Desordre). Her tanned skin sits so perfectly against the pastel colour and I adore the symmetry of the back in this piece. The best is yet to come though because you can view the rest of the outfit, right over on Tuula.
P.s Thanks for all your wonderful feedback on the DIY clutch, I'll definitely look into doing a few extra projects here and there!

DIY

Yesterday I hauled my sewing machine out of the cupboard and finally made a pastel pink suede clutch using some offcuts that Sara Phillips kindly gave me. All I needed was a 9" exposed zipper (next time I'll try to find a longer one), different lengths of suede and a sewing machine with a fairly sharp and sturdy needle. It took just over half an hour and now I finally have a fold over clutch to throw in all of my essentials for a night out.

LOST

PhotobucketPhotobucket
Taken on a Ricoh with Black & White 35mm film.
This morning I stumbled across an entire folder filled with film that I'd scanned and completely forgotten about. For some strange reason I must have thought it wasn't good enough at the time but looking at it now, I'm so glad I found it. I'm hoping that as I continue to organise my external hard drive  (all 350GB worth) I'll discover more lost treasures.

HARPER AND HARLEY

PhotobucketPhotobucket
Taken on a Nikon D90.
The ever so lovely Sara from Harper and Harley (you may have noticed her recently on the Harpers Bazaar Style Network) in her casual weekend gear. Not only is she a dream to photograph but I've also discovered that she has, quite possibly, the world's most enviable wardrobe. I wish my casual weekend gear included an Oroton bra, Michael Kors watch and Prada sunglasses.

GIFTS

Having your Birthday fall between Christmas and New Years usually means that receiving presents is quite a rare occurrence. This year however, I was absolutely overwhelmed by all the gifts I was given, especially the surprise parcel sent to me by Giselle from My Chameleon. For those of you who are yet to discover it, the online store sells the kind of clothing that I could fill my entire wardrobe with (if I had the right income) and want for nothing else. Never in my life have I seen a package so beautifully wrapped and what I found inside certainly made my heart skip a beat or two. I'll reveal more soon but in the meantime you should definitely check out the site (the end-of-season sale alone is worth it). Thanks again to Giselle and the MC girls, you've made my entire year already!

FINALLY,

Photobucket
Wearing ASOS hat, Stolen Girlfriends Club bag, American Apparel shirt, Ishka neck plate and Cheap Monday jeans. Taken bMichaela Skovranova.
Summer has arrived. The past few days of the new year have been so exceptionally beautiful that it'd almost be a crime not to spend them at a pool/beach/body of water. Summer seems to be the only time of year that I can spend an entire day doing nothing and yet not feel like I've wasted a single second of my time. I'm seriously looking forward to days filled with friends, summer fruits, good books and a sneaky ice cream or two.
